Artisan Bio: Chelsa, Owner & Mom Boss of MadHabit Jewelry
Meet Chelsa, she's been making jewelry for 15 years now. She started selling earrings out of a coffee shop that she worked at and then later from her college dorm.
She's a certified elementary school teacher with a minor in psychology. She was a subsitute teacher for 2 years out of college and decided that it wasn't what she really wanted. Instead, she chose to do something that made her REALLY happy. She opened her own business called MadHabit Boutique 7 years ago without any prior knowledge or background in business. She's learned a lot along the way!
She supports independent, small business owners & female makers. She always has & always will.
6 years ago, she purchased the historic building that she knows calls home. She has two young sons, who come to work with her every day. Her and her family live and work in downtown Baker City, Oregon and they LOVE it.
Chelsa's hobbies include designing & making jewelry, drinking copious amounts of coffee (sometimes it's wine her cup, she's not going to lie), listening to Tupac & most 90's rap, and camping with her family.
